Machine Screws are designed to be secured in place through the use of a nut or threaded holes. Generally offered in standard coarse thread with some fine pitch thread variants. Machine screws must not be confused with other types of screw, such as Self Tapping or Woodscrews, that have a much more coarse thread that cuts into the receiving material forming thread as it is tightened/screwed into place. Machine screws are used in many fields, including computer equipment, cars, household electricals and large industial machinery and can form a strong fastening when connecting two items together.
